Big New Casa Magna Coming

Posted: Friday, July 24, 2009

By David Savona

Manuel Quesada has a new size for his Casa Magna Colorado, and it's a big one. Cigar Aficionado just found out that Quesada would be showcasing the Casa Magna Extraordinario in a few weeks at the International Premium Cigar and Pipe Retailers trade show in New Orleans.

The Extraordinario is a monster, seven inches long by 58 ring gauge, crafted in the Cuban Salomone shape, with a tapered head and bulbous foot. Like the other Casa Magna Colorados (including the Robusto, the reigning Cigar of the Year) the Extraordinario is a Nicaraguan puro rolled in Nicaragua at Nestor Plasencia's Segovia Cigars factory.

The cigars will have a suggested retail price of less than $11, and will come in boxes of 22.
